Post-printing is an important part of the printing industry. With their help, you can give printed products a unique shape and appearance.
We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the possibilities of die-cutting and punching in the First Experimental Printing House.When developing a design for a particular printed product, it must be borne in mind that if there is a figured outline in the product, then you cannot do without cutting.
Punching (another name – punching) – full cutting of the product along the contour with the cutting ruler of the punch-shape along a continuous line. Simultaneous cutting and creation of scoring on the product, perforation and other types of cutting is possible. All this is done on special equipment. In one blow, the machine processes one sheet, but there may be several finished products on it.
Notch (another name – grating) – partial cutting of material The most common use of notches in our printing house is making stickers for children’s literature. The top layer of self-adhesive is cut through completely, and the layer of paper covering the adhesive remains intact.
Even rounded corners of a pocket calendar require an increase in production times and an order for a die-cutting punch. Our printing house will be able to help you with cutting products (folders, calendars, packaging, etc.) and self-adhesive cutting of any complexity.
