Have you ever wondered how many people are needed to make a catalog? Five, six, maybe ten people? No, you haven’t guessed. In order to print not only a catalog, but also a magazine, book or brochure, on average, about 20 people are required
Let’s take a look at our typography as an example. Take the printing of a standard catalog.
So, let’s begin:
▪️Manager, he is also the project manager. It is with him that the work with the order begins before it goes into production.
▪️The terms of reference have been agreed, the order is submitted to work and falls into the reliable hands of a specialist in the supply department, who will purchase the most beautiful and high-quality paper for your order.
▪️Then there are at least 2 people in the prepress department: prepress engineer and technologist. Mandatory double control when working with multi-page publications.
▪️ Having passed all the necessary preparatory and verification work, the order is sent to the output of printed forms on the page.
▪️ In parallel, the production manager and production foreman are connected to the process. In our printing house, they are generally one of the key figures in the entire process of manufacturing printed products. After all, they coordinate several projects at once.
▪️ The printing forms are displayed and the order is sent for printing. At this stage, the printer and the printer assistant are connected.
▪️ After the order is printed, depending on the complexity of the post-printing processing of the product, the paper cutter, folding operator, laminate operator, sheet picking operator, hot melt glue operator, and punching operator are connected to the process.
▪️ When the order is completely ready – it is waiting for its turn for packaging and shipment – packers and workers are connected to securely fix the products for further transportation. Next, the work of the driver-forwarder begins, who will deliver your order at the agreed time.The circulation is ready. You can enjoy pleasant reading.
On average, it turns out that about twenty people work on the creation of one directory.
