The main reason for the creation of the installation was the careless attitude to the printed matter. According to Alexis, she increasingly began to see discarded books. The artist was outraged by this phenomenon. As a sign of respect for typography and a desire to show the eternity of the book, Alexis has created a series of books with crystals grown on them.
To create sculptures, Arnold used all kinds of magazines, telephone directories, and the Bible was not complete. After the transformation, books lose their main purpose, but at the same time acquire a new life. Already as an unusual creative work – a crystal sculpture, which will become an original interior decoration that carries a deep meaning.
