A trend that came to us from Europe.The technology of making books in ancient times was very difficult, their great demand, frequent use, increased wear and tear – led to the search for a binding that would help the book to serve as long as possible. The art of bookbinding in ancient countries (Japan, China, Egypt) was actively developing, ways of connecting simple or folded sheets were sought.
